It’s first against second in the race for the Supporters Shield on Saturday and it has been one-way traffic at TQL Stadium.

Despite the absence of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez because of the Copa América, Inter Miami have been a formidable side, with four wins from their last four. But the Eastern Conference leaders are on the verge of dropping to second thanks to a determined FC Cincinnati.

There were a stunning five goals scored in the first 45 minutes of action with the hosts dominating. Their finishing was too clinical, as Miami’s sluggish defence virtually stood still.

A wide-open Yuya Kubo was first allowed to run into the box and he poked the opener home after 10 minutes.

The visitors responded roughly 10 minutes later when Serhiy Kryvtsov’s thumping header turned things 1-1. Yet immediately after, the floodgates opened.

Luciano Acosta turned things back in Cincinnati’s favour after sitting Sergio Busquets down and calmly converting.

Pavel Bucha’s volley then trickled home to pile misery on Inter Miami as goalkeeper Drake Callender’s dive wasn’t quick enough.

The hosts then impressively made it four goals when Yamil Asad curled his shot beyond Callender yet again.

Without their star attackers, can Miami pull off the comeback? Or will Cincinnati end the night on top?
